Neal

Neal is a small, unincorporated community. Nevertheless, it does have a post office and its own postal code!

As we drove through, we noticed that it had a community center, a park, and several houses with lots of cars, boats, motorcycles, and old farming equipment in the driveways and yards. We also noticed several very nice-looking, well-maintained lawns and gardens.

We had to take an unexpected detour about halfway through town; a big old cottonwood had fallen in a recent windstorm, blocking the dirt road.

We saw on a sign outside the Neal Evangelical Free Church for Gracia Burnham, who was in town speaking on forgiveness. That was pretty neat, but we weren't there in time for the start of the event, so we just said a quick prayer for her and the folks there and continued on our way.
