Hartford

Hartford has several churches, a gas station, several other businesses, some parks, historical buildings, and a late 19th-century jail that the boys really enjoyed.

Back in the late 1920s, the Emporia Gazette lauded Hartford for turning out "more smart men and women than any town of its size in the county."

Once again, the theme of friendly strangers was continued here; many people waved to us.

In case you want to see more of the town, here's a video tour shot by a Hartford resident.
