Edgerton

Continuing on our farm tour, we went to a couple of places in Edgerton. Or, at least, that was their postal address; they were actually out in the country.

The White Tail Run Winery is a charming vineyard with acres of beautiful vines, as well as a large bottling facility. The owner and his family were gracious enough to give us a tour of the vines and large metal building where the wine is finished. We also tried some samples and brought home a couple of bottles of their excellent Seyval.

After leaving the winery, we visited Gieringer's Orchard, a farm where you can pick your own produce or go shopping in their farm market for a variety of fresh produce. It was really fun to see a nice, large operation run by such friendly folks. We'd like to return in the summer to do some picking!
