This Minneola is not to be confused with the ghost town in Franklin County that once tried to be the pro-slavery territorial capital.
Whereas that Minneola is now a ghost town, this one is a thriving community! It has lots of cute, well-maintained yards and homes, a small park, a pool, grain elevators, and dirt roads through town. There are wind turbines all around, some right at the edge of town. There's a community church right down the street from a long-term care facility, and the grade school is the Minneola Wildcats.
