Wilson*

The asterisk in the post title means we didn't actually stop in Wilson. However, we did want to take a picture of the wind turbines by the interstate there. These are just some of the dozens of turbines we saw along I-70.

If you look carefully, you'll see a small, old windmill in the foreground. This was standard technology back in the early days of Kansas, and more than a hundred years later, we're still finding ways to harness those gusty Kansas winds to make our lives better.

We were a few weeks too early for Wilson's After-Harvest Czech Festival, so we need to put it on our calendar for next summer. It looks like a lot of fun.

It's just as well that we didn't see anything going on in Wilson, since our boys were down for the count. Next time!
